In 2006, Director Roland Zimmerman was asked by Seneca County Commissioner Dave Sauber if the 5.5 acres of County Property along Willow Creek, south of State Route 18, could be developed into a county nature preserve. The park was completed in 2008-2009, and named in recognition of Director Zimmerman’s dedication to the county parks and those with disabilities. The park features .2 miles of paved walkways, Willow Creek, two shelters, picnic tables, resting benches, interactive raised planting beds, water pump for the plants, and is fully disability accessible. Officially located at 680 East State Rt. 18 in Tiffin. The park is closed from dusk to dawn, and visitors are asked to follow all of the park rules.
