Artificial intelligence is transforming industries, reshaping careers, and becoming a key driver of innovation around the world. As demand grows for professionals who can blend technical expertise with ethical understanding and practical application, universities are responding by creating programs that equip students for the future.

At Tiffin University, that future has already arrived. All of TU's AI efforts are led by Dr. Anas H. Blasi, Executive Director of the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Center, whose vision has shaped the university’s comprehensive approach to AI education.

Tiffin University offers not one, but multiple AI-integrated programs designed to meet the demands of today’s evolving workforce. With the Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Prompt Engineering (AIPE) and the Bachelor of Science in Business Intelligence and Analytics (BIA) already active and fully approved, TU is delivering future-ready education that puts students at the forefront of AI innovation.

Pioneering AI Programs with a Hands-On Approach

  • BS in Artificial Intelligence and Prompt Engineering (AIPE): This cutting-edge degree prepares students for careers in AI and machine learning, with a focus on prompt engineering—a rapidly emerging field that enhances human-AI interaction. Students develop expertise in natural language processing, data modeling, machine learning, and the ethical use of AI. Graduates are prepared for high-demand careers including AI engineer, data scientist, prompt engineer, and more.

  • BS in Business Intelligence and Analytics (BIA): This program bridges the gap between business strategy and data science. Students learn how to analyze, visualize, and interpret data using tools like Python, R, Hadoop, and Tableau, while gaining insights into business operations, risk analysis, and market forecasting.

AI & Robotics Lab: A Space for Innovation

Supporting these programs is TU’s newly developed AI & Robotics Lab, a state-of-the-art facility designed for experiential learning. This hands-on lab will be housed in the university’s new Center for Innovation and Learning, a 30,000 square foot academic facility opening this fall. The lab includes 1:1 workstation access, cloud computing integration, and robotics kits, allowing students to build, test, and train AI and robotic systems in real-world scenarios. It supports both seated and online learners and operates independently from central IT, managed directly by TU’s faculty.

The Center for Innovation and Learning will also feature 14 state-of-the-art classrooms and the Gary and Laura Robinette Center for Entrepreneurship. This transformative facility reflects TU’s commitment to interactive learning environments, creativity, and student engagement through design thinking and innovation.

Looking Ahead: Graduate-Level Expansion

The university is actively preparing to launch a master’s program in AI in spring 2026, further strengthening its role as a regional and national leader in advanced technology education. in AI-related studies, further strengthening its role as a regional and national leader in advanced technology education. This expansion reflects TU’s vision of fostering innovation and lifelong learning at every stage of academic and professional development.

Why It Matters

In an era where AI is reshaping the workforce, Tiffin University is ensuring that students aren’t just prepared for change—they’re leading it. According to the World Economic Forum, AI and machine learning roles are among the fastest-growing jobs globally, with over 40% projected annual growth.
