Mercy Health - Tiffin Hospital continuously improves

Image removed.Mercy health has been an integral part of the Tiffin community since the first hospital was built in 1913. Mercy Health - Tiffin Hospital has made many improvements over the years - including a brand new facility completed in 2008 - investing in the community and improving the quality of life for residents. Moving forward, Senior Director of Facilities and Support Services Ron Schumacher said the hospital is working on several new projects, and always looking toward new partnerships. The new projects include: bringing an obstetrician on campus as well as a new pediatrician office, and the possibility of becoming the home of the life flight unit, specifically the offices that oversee the unit. Schumacher said they are also looking at bringing on board several new physicians which will improve service offerings and bring 6-8 new positions, depending on the number of physicians that come on board. In 2016, several projects were completed at the hospital. A $100,000 cardiology renovation was completed this year, and in September, the $150,000 renovation of the lobby and cashier's office was finished. In 2015, the Volunteers of America completed the $9 million Tiffin Rehabilitation Center and Sojourn at Seneca facility on the hospital campus. Mercy Health - Tiffin Hospital has been a part of the Tiffin community since 1913. Mercy Health is one ministry serving eight regions in Ohio and Kentucky with 23 hospitals and 450 places where patients can receive care. Mercy Health is the largest health system and fourth largest employer in Ohio. The Tiffin Hospital employs more than 500, making it one of the largest private employers in Seneca County.
