Local manufacturer to add 25,000 square feet, 20 new jobs Image removed.TIFFIN, OHIO – September 6, 2016 – Arnold Machine, Inc. has announced intentions to move forward with a $2.6 million expansion to the Tiffin facility, creating 20 new skilled labor jobs. The project includes a $1.6 million, 25,000 square foot expansion to the building as well as $1 million in new equipment to support the expansion. President and Owner Zach Arnold said the company was considering locating a satellite assembly facility in the Memphis area, but the workforce, community, and local and state support helped make the decision to stay in Tiffin. “Although much of our new business is in the south, we are very pleased to be able to expand here. It’s an exciting time in our company’s history, and we appreciate all of the support we’re receiving from the City of Tiffin, SIEDC, AEP, the Regional Growth Partnership, and JobsOhio. If everything is approved, we will be expanding here.” The expansion is contingent on the final approval of local and state incentives, which are expected to exceed $500,000 in value over the next fifteen years. The company is intending to take advantage of a one hundred percent, 15-year Community Reinvestment Area tax exemption on the new facility as well as a five-year, fifty percent local municipal income tax credit. AEP Ohio is also considering supporting the project with a grant as well. An offer from AEP Ohio is expected in the next few weeks. Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz was pleased with the news. “With this expansion, the North Star Industrial Park is completely full. We are excited to see our industrial sector continue to grow stronger, and we’re excited about the future. We appreciate the investment Arnold Machine is making in our community.” Dean Monske, President & CEO of the Regional Growth Partnership that helped facilitate state support for the project as part of the JobsOhio Network, said, “It’s incredible to see the growth and development in northwest Ohio, and Tiffin and Seneca County are a big part of it. This is just another example of why they are a top-ranked community.” About Arnold Machine Arnold Machine, Inc. is a designer and manufacturer of customized automation equipment for the automotive, appliance and heavy equipment industries.
