Tiffin ranked in 20 most affordable college towns in Ohio

The findings also suggest that Tiffin is an affordable place for young professionals, families and retirees. Great College Deals recently released their list of the "20 Most Affordable College Towns in Ohio," comparing the 130 universities in Ohio and the towns in which their students live. Their research found that the cost of living in Tiffin is 15% lower than the national average and 3% lower than the state average, making it a great place for college students to live. With a cost of living that is lower than both the national and state averages, Tiffin is a great place for students, young professionals, families, and retirees. GCD staff used Wikipedia and Sperling’s Best Places to determine which towns were most affordable, looking at factors such as costs for housing, food, health, transportation, and utilities, as well as amenities, crime rates, public transportation, and overall quality of life and comparing them to national averages.
