Organization calls on community support for festive celebrations.
Tiffin, OH – May 1, 2024 - Operation Hallmark Inc., a group of five couples that transformed downtown Tiffin into a beacon of holiday cheer last year, has announced its ambitious plans for the upcoming year. Following the resounding success of Operation Hallmark in 2023, organizers are inviting the community to join hands once again in spreading joy and festivity throughout the town.
"Our goal for this year is to raise even more funds to continue our efforts in making Tiffin a true Hallmark town," said Christy Wiser, President of Operation Hallmark Inc. "With the continued strong support of our community, we plan to expand our decorations and create an even more enchanting atmosphere that captures the essence of the holiday season."
To raise funds for this initiative, Operation Hallmark Inc. is offering a unique opportunity for community members to own a piece of the festive display: a large 7 1/2 foot 3-D unpainted wooden nutcracker. Participants will have the chance to embrace their creativity by decorating these nutcrackers, which will be showcased during the Third Thursday's Christmas in July event on July 18, 2024. Attendees will be able to enjoy a scavenger hunt and vote for their favorite community nutcracker as part of the festivities. To date, 33 nutcrackers have already been ordered by a number of community organizations.
Orders for the unpainted nutcrackers must be placed by May 15, 2024, with a payment of $150.00, with delivery expected by the middle of June. Subsequently, purchases will be open to all businesses and residents of Seneca County starting July 1, 2024, with a payment deadline of August 1, 2024, and delivery by October 15, 2024. The organization will be hosting another scavenger hunt throughout Seneca County during the holiday season, giving everyone the chance to experience the joy of Operation Hallmark Inc. and vote for the best decorated nutcracker.
